Message from the President

Since 1954, WSC has had a proud tradition of delivering a variety of exceptional products and services to our government and commercial clients. From our cafeteria service, which has won the Air Force Hennessy Trophy for food service two of the last three years, to our paperclip manufacturing, which has provided over 16 billion units to the federal government since 1979, you can be confident that WSC delivers. Our steady and reliable business approach has resulted in a solid financial position and has now postured WSC for historic growth. In fact, this year we opened a new headquarters and manufacturing facility providing 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art office space and 40,000 square feet of new manufacturing space. WSC is embarking upon a new chapter in its history and we look forward to building upon our sound foundation.

One thing we won’t be changing is our important mission of empowering people with disabilities. We don’t give handouts, but we do provide opportunity, and people take that opportunity. In fact, over 75% of our employees (about 450 people) have significant disabilities, making WSC one of the largest employers of persons with disabilities in the region. However, we have much more work to do. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, only 52% of the 29.4 million people with disabilities have a job. We must continue to whittle away at that statistic by crushing stereotypes, opening our doors, and allowing every person to use their abilities to become productive citizens of this great nation. So, I invite all of you to join us in our mission: Buy our products, use our services, choose a career with us, or just spread the word about WSC. Together we can!
